Privacy

Your parking details, stored locally.

The current FindMyPark build has no account, FindMyPark backend, advertising or analytics SDK. Apple's map services, device backups and any support messages you choose to send are explained separately below.

No app backend

FindMyPark has no backend. The app makes no network requests to us, because there is no “us” to send anything to.

No account

You never create a profile, enter an email address, or sign in. The app has no concept of a user identity.

No tracking

No analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, no advertising identifier, no third-party libraries that phone home.

Local-first storage

Parking details and photos are stored locally. Device backups may include parking details; reference photos are excluded from backups.

1. What we collect

The app does not upload parking data to a FindMyPark server. There is no FindMyPark backend, login, advertising or analytics SDK in the current build. This is not a claim that the device makes no network requests: Apple's map services may communicate with Apple, and device backups are controlled by your device settings.

2. What the app stores on your device

So the app can do its job, the following is saved locally on your iPhone when you save a parking spot:

  • The latitude, longitude and reported accuracy of your parking coordinate
  • The level, section and spot number you typed in
  • Your free-form note
  • The reference photos you captured or selected
  • The parking reminder time, if you set one
  • The timestamp of when the spot was saved

Parking details are written to the app's own preferences storage. Photos are written as image files inside the app's private Documents folder and are explicitly excluded from device backups. Parking details in preferences may be included in backups. Backup retention and restoration are managed separately through your device and backup provider.

FindMyPark keeps one active parking session, not a browsable parking history. Choosing I Found My Car and confirming removes that session and its reference photos. If local removal fails, the app reports the problem and keeps the session available to retry; a partial file-removal failure may require attention to individual photos. Deleting the app removes its local app data; offloading the app is different. These actions do not erase existing backup copies.

3. Permissions and why they are requested

Location — While Using the App

Why: To record the coordinate where you parked and to calculate how far away your car is when you return.

FindMyPark requests When In Use access for saving a map pin and updating distance while you use the app. It does not request Always access or configure background location mode.

Camera

Why: Only if you choose to take a reference photo of a level sign, pillar or landmark.

The camera opens only after you tap the camera button. Photos are saved into the app's own Documents folder, never uploaded.

Photo Library

Why: Only if you choose to attach an existing photo instead of taking a new one.

The system photo picker is used, so the app receives only the specific images you select. It has no access to the rest of your library.

Notifications

Why: Only if you turn on a parking reminder.

Notifications are scheduled locally on your device by iOS. There is no push server and no remote notification token.

Every permission is optional. Declining the camera, photo library or notification request simply disables that feature — the rest of the app keeps working. Declining location means the app cannot record a coordinate, but you can still save the level, section, spot number, notes and photos.

4. Third parties

FindMyPark includes no third-party SDKs. It uses only Apple's own frameworks, including SwiftUI, Core Location, MapKit, PhotosUI and UserNotifications. MapKit may contact Apple's services to load map content; these services are subject to Apple's privacy practices.

When you tap Find My Car, the app hands your saved coordinate to Apple Maps so it can draw a walking route. From that point Apple Maps is governed by Apple's privacy policy, not ours. FindMyPark sends nothing else in that handoff.

5. Children

FindMyPark is not directed at children. The current app does not upload parking data to us. Do not post children's personal information or locations in support messages.

6. Your rights and control

We do not have a server-side copy of your parking session to export, correct or delete. For local data and permissions:

  • Mark your car as found to clear the current parking session; the app reports local removal failures for retry.
  • Delete individual reference photos from the in-app gallery; failed removals are reported.
  • Revoke any permission at any time in iOS Settings → FindMyPark.
  • Delete the app to remove local app data; manage backup copies separately in your backup settings.

7. Changes to this policy

If a future version of FindMyPark ever changes how data is handled, this page will be updated before that version ships, and the date at the top will change. Any future analytics, accounts or purchases will require reassessing this policy and the app's privacy disclosures.

8. Contact

Our business support and privacy inbox is being set up. A verified private contact must be available before App Store submission. This page is not yet a final release policy.

9. This website and feedback

This is a static website without an analytics SDK or a feedback backend. Feedback submission is disabled until the business inbox is verified. Once enabled, the form opens a draft in your email app and nothing is sent until you send it. Email providers process messages you choose to send, and we receive your email address and message to handle your request. It is not a mailing list or launch notification service. Support-message retention and the email provider must be documented when configured. This site links to LinkedIn but does not embed its services; LinkedIn applies its own privacy practices when you follow that link. Cloudflare Pages has been selected, but production hosting and DNS are not configured yet. Its request logging, retention and privacy practices must be reviewed and disclosed before treating this policy as ready for App Store submission.

Privacy you can verify, not just trust.

No account or FindMyPark backend in the current build. Review the details above for backups, maps and support.
